The Skowhegan Drive-In opened on June 28, 1953 with Jeanne Crain in “Take Care of My Little Girl” & Glenn Ford in “The Secret of Convict Lake”. This drive-in had a capacity for 368-cars. By 1955 it was operated by Lockwood and Gordon Enterprises & Daytz Theatre Enterprises Corp. It was announced in summer of 2023 that the drive-in would close permanently at the end of the 2023 season and closure came on September 23, 2023 screening “Smokey and the Bandit”. “The Shining” & “Twister”.
